Background
TrailBlazers Cricket Inc is premier cricket consultancy based in Dallas, TX. Coach Unni spent his early days playing professional cricket in Chennai, India and worked as an assistant coach at the ICC Academy in Dubai back in 2012. He co-founded Lords Indoor Sports, USA's first dedicated facility for Indoor Cricket building the pathway programs right from Primary to Advanced age groups.
Unni is an ICC certified coach tutor closely associated with USA cricket pathways certifying Level 1 coaches across the USA . He was the head coach in the USA Cricket U-19 Nationals , South-West Regional Men & Women's team in 2021. He also had a couple of stints with the USA cricket team during the ICC Div 4 tournament held at LA in 2017 and ICC Div 3 tournament in Uganda in 2018.
Beyond coaching, Unni worked in SportsMechanics; the current analytics consultant for the Indian cricket team. He was also a performance analyst with the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams, Deccan Chargers and Pune Warriors from 2008 to 2012.
What we do
TrailBlazers focuses on Elite Player development, High performance programs, Talent scouting and Performance analysis services. Our mission is to ensure that all the athletes are provided equal opportunities and and prepare well before stepping into the vigors of professional cricket.
In addition to player development, TrailBlazers also focusses on providing training and mentorship to coaches, scouts, performance analysts and PE teachers which will help them in their professional development.
Our Vision
“I have been fortunate to have learned from and worked with some of the most renowned coaches in the world such as Darren Lehmann, Robin Singh, Trevor Penny, Mike Young , Pubudu Dassanayake and very recently Julia Price who is the head coach of USA women's team. My vision is to transfer all that knowledge to the next generation of aspiring cricketers in the USA in the hope of turning them into professionals in any walk of life."
